Icing Encounter Flight Simulator

Smart Icing Systems Flight Simulation web site.    This research is geared toward the simulation of aircraft icing. The aerodynamic effects of ice accretion are modeled and new methods of warning the pilots are being developed. It is part of the larger Smart Icing Systems Project at UIUC. 2/20/03

Aircraft Dynamics Models for Use with FlightGear

Includes a collection of over 15 aircraft dynamics models for use in the free open-source FlightGear flight simulator. Aircraft current modeled include: Beech 99, Boeing 747, Cessna 172, Cessna 310, Cessna 620, Convair 880, F-104 Starfighter, F-4 Phantom, Learjet 24, Pioneer UAV, Piper Cherokee, SIAI-Marchetti S-211, Schweizer 1-36 Sprite, T-37, Twin Otter, 1903 Wright Flyer, and X-15. 3/5/02

Aircraft 3D External Models for Use with FlightGear

Several GNU GPL external models that can be used FlightGear. In order to fly these models, their corresponding flight dynamics models still need to be developed (some are already done). 2/20/03
