Three AE advisers in 2020 top 10

Laura A. Gerhold, Huy T. Tran, and Brian S. Woodard have been recognized with Engineering Council Outstanding Advising Awards. 

Gerhold is the chief adviser for undergraduates and coordinator of the undergraduate program in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in The Grainger College of Engineering. 

Tran is research assistant professor in the AE department. His primary research focus is in autonomy for aerospace systems.

Woodard is a teaching associate and the director of undergraduate programs in the department.

The award honors the top 10 percent of engineering advisors on campus. The honorees are chosen each year by undergraduate and graduate students within the engineering discipline.
